How to make free calls from PennyTel
To start making free calls, you have multiple ways. You can try Pennytel iPhone app, SoftPhone, SmartDial or Landline.
Out of these options, SmartDial allows you to make calls using your mobile phone. To use Landline, You need ATA (Analogue Telephone Adapter) and iPhone users can go for official app.
Moreover, Pennytel supports SIP Gates too, so use the following setting in you SIP client:
SIP Proxy : sip.pennytel.com
Domain : sip.pennytel.com
SIP Register : Yes
Preferred Codec : g729, g723
Port : 5060
I will recommend using SoftPhone if you find above options difficult. Login to your Portal, enable Softphone and use it directly from web browser to start making calls directly without configuring anything. This requires Java applet installed to get working.
This Softphone is more or less like Google Voice Dialer. While dialing don’t forget to add Country Code and enjoy free calling uninterrupted anywhere in the world free of charge!
Note: For Australia, New Zealand and UK, the free calls is to landline only, excluding calls to mobiles and special numbers. Other countries of Canada, China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, the USA, both calls to mobile phone and fixed line is free.
