With too many Android Tablets rushing in, Viewsonic Viewpad 10 is a Dual boot 10 inch tablet with Android and Windows 7 OS. Tablets lies in between Mobile Phones and Netbook, Viewpad 10 however is more inclined to Netbook.


Getting to features, it is 10 inch in size (slightly bigger than iPad) with complete glass-fronted screen with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It has brushed aluminium back completing its premium look and feel.

Still, the most impressive feature of the tablet remains it’s ability to dual boot into Android and Windows 7 OS which is rarely seen in tablets. Android version you get is Android 1.6 which is quite old now (some hack will be eventually be developed to upgrade) and Windows 7 is fully featured Home Premium version. One limitation you won’t get around is the lack of access to the Android App store, though you can still install applications manually.


Viewsonic Viewpad 10 tablet is powered with an Intel 1.66GHz processor, and comes with an integrated memory of 1GB and 16GB SSD HDD storage space. You can of course add more storage (up to 32GB) using the microSD card slot.


For connectivity options, Two USB 2.0 ports allow you to plug in anything from external storage to peripherals, while a mini-VGA port can output video to a TV or monitor. On the wireless front we have both Wi-Fi N and Bluetooth 2.1, though no 3G. Not to forget A-GPS for navigation.


Regarding Battery life, it has 3200 mAh battery which is expected to give altleast 5 hours of active working mode.

Viewsonic Viewpad 10 will be available in major electronic stores across India at a price of Rs. 38,000 in January 2011.
