Ok, today I got to know another method that Google uses in ranking page in its SERPs and that is “links from famous Social Media sites like Twitter & Facebook”. Yes, if you submit your articles to Facebook & Twitter, chances of your blog post to come on front page of Google may increase. Lets have a closer look at it:


As we know Google keeps on changing its algorithm according to its needs, so according to the latest algorithm now Google considers links from famous social media sites like Twitter & Facebook as a ranking factor.


Now, the question is almost every blogger is using these sites then whose article are going to rank up high? I’ll clear this point with the help of an example:



  • Suppose, I wrote an article on QuickOnlineTips about Thesis Theme and the same article is written by 5 other bloggers on the same day but my article was re-tweeted & shared on Facebook by DIYthemes. This means that I got links from social media sites from a high trusted source.

  • As my article is shared and re-tweeted by trusted authors, Google may rank my article on top of its search pages i.e posiblity of my page getting top position will be high as compared to other 5 bloggers.


This is the latest addition in the search algorithm of Google


How to get links from trusted authors in Twitter & Facebook



  • In order to get links from trusted sources in Twitter & Facebook you must have in-depth knowledge about the product. Lets talk about Thesis Theme here.

  • If you’ve in-depth knowledge about WordPress & Thesis Theme, go to DIY forums and in the help desk section start helping members.

  • Get positive feedback so that you get notice by admin and co-admins

  • Send them PM’s and get to know them

  • Add them on Facebook, have a chat with them. Tell them that how much time you seen in DIY forums and help other members.

  • As you earn a good reputation, write a high quality article on your blog and ask the DIYthemes forum admin to share your article on Twitter & Facebook.

  • As you keep on getting more and more links from trusted sources, your articles will start ranking high on Google.
